1953 Facade Hidden Under 70s Coverup On Biscayne Blvd

The funky ’70s era facade of an office and restaurant building in Biscayne Boulevard’s MiMo historic district was ripped off the other day to reveal the building’soriginal 1953 facade buried underneath. The windowless 70s facade had literally been hung on the eyebrows of the ’50s one, which is of a transitional Art Deco/MiMo style. Of course, by the look of those whited out windows, it probably wasn’t originally an office building either.
