SkyRise Miami Site Work Could Begin In A Month

In the “is that hideous thing really getting built?” news of the day, site prep work on the giant R-shaped SkyRise Miami could begin by June, before Federal Aviation Administration height approvals expire on June 12th. Commissioners will vote at a meeting later this week to decide whether or not to let the work begin even though the tower itself has to pass a voter referendum in August or November.
