Affluent Indian Creek
Fisher Island is considered one of South Florida’s priciest and most private communities, but Indian Creek comes in a close second. Located south of Bay Harbor Islands and west of the town of Surfside, the private island village is among the most affluent and is home to many celebrities and public figures. Former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula, Brazilian model Adriana Lima, Spanish singer Julio Iglesias and his son Enrique have all lived or currently live in Indian Creek. In fact, the community is home to fewer than 90 residents and it has a total of just 35 homes. Collectively, Indian Creek has a net worth of over $35 billion.
The Indian Creek homes for sale can often fetch handsome prices. In 2012 for example, a Russian billionaire purchased a 30,000 square foot home for $47 million. Last year, another buyer paid $28 million for a 22,500+ square foot mansion. Each of these homes plus the rest of the properties comprising Indian Creek real estate has a view of the water and there is also a golf course plus a country club.
Besides Surfside and Bay Harbor Islands, Indian Creek is also near the village of Bal Harbour, Sunny Isles Beach, and Miami Beach.
