All about Miami Beach’s Faena House
Argentinian real estate developer and hotelier Alan Faena made a name for himself after turning a once derelict Buenos Aires pier into one of the priciest neighborhoods in the city. Lately, he’s been earning oodles of attention in the United States with the debut of the Faena House in Miami Beach, designed by the Pritzker Prize–winning firm Foster + Partners.
The Faena House condo is recognized as much as for its stunning one to five bedroom units as it is for its unique features, which includes its “alero”, the name given to the large wraparound balconies surrounding each of the 47 units that have at least 1,300 square feet of living area. The building was also recently in the news after its nine bathroom penthouse sold for a record-breaking $60 million, which features its 70-foot pool overlooking the Atlantic and the sunny beach. Other highlights in the Faena House include the lobby soaring thirty feet featuring a geometric art piece called Transchromie Faena by Carlos Cruz-Diez of Venezuela.
Foster + Partners has added its award-winning touch to numerous projects around the world including Switzerland, Singapore, Japan, United Kingdom, Morocco, Australia, and more.
