Artist Creates South Beach Hotels Out Of Folded Paper
Curbed Miami
by Sean McCaughan
Check out architecturally-trained artist Christina Lihan‘s cut-and-folded paper diorama of South Beach hotels, including the Marsailles, theRaleigh, and the Shelborne. (Brownie points go to whoever identifies the two small buildings in the lower left and right corners) By focusing on “the light in the different planes my cuts created,” she makes paper art with incredible depth and spatiality. Curbed National has a look at some of her other work, which include the Uffizi in Florence, the New York City Skyline, and the Taj Mahal.
