Brazil Buyers Make a Comeback
Latin America has always been one of the strongest markets when it comes to buying and investing in Miami real estate. Countries like Colombia and Brazil have contributed to the city’s diverse appeal, and for some time Brazil was in fact the top country searching for South Florida real estate before it was usurped by Colombia in July. Brazil has now regained its number one position.
Brazilian buyers continue to be attracted to the Magic City’s restaurants, the global appeal of the shopping venues, and of course the incredible beaches. Miami’s business center maintains its worldwide appeal, functioning as the central hub for many different international companies. Collectively all of these factors contribute greatly towards Brazilian interest
Among all foreign buyers, Brazilians are in fact third in buying transactions throughout South Florida, accounting for eleven percent of all sales last year behind Venezuela and Argentina, per the National Association of Realtors. Other countries showing burgeoning interest in South Florida real estate include Russia, Spain, Israel, and aforementioned Colombia.
Brazil also spends the most amount of money in both Miami-Dade and Broward County, $495,000 compared to the $245,000 typically spent by buyers in Florida.
