Come Take a Tour Through Elle Decor’s Miami Showhouse
There’s no denying that showhouses, wherein a bunch of design pros furnish an empty home, is a genius way to get real estate sold—no cornyTwitter handles, racy imagery, or other desperate marketing effortsneeded, thank you very much. Pair that with access to thousands of art-world sophisticates and, well, it’s no wonder the Elle Decor Modern Life Concept House, as it’s officially termed, is a thing that happens at Art Basel Miami Beach. This year’s showhouse, produced in an open, airy 10,300-square-foot house on Sunset Island II, featured rooms festooned by South Florida talent including Sam Robin, Wade Hallock, and Sofia Joelsson, who filled the space with furnishings from sponsors such as Roche Bobois, Ethan Allen, and Design Within Reach. Whether or not those items are buyable, the Kobi Karp-designed modern mansion most certainly is: it’s currently asking $16.5M.
Curbed Miami has a bunch of additional shots so please, do check it out.
