Curbed Miami

The new ‘Faena Collaboratory’ (a.k.a. Faena House Sales Center, and yes, there was an older one) just opened across Collins Avenue from the construction site of the Norman Foster-designed luxury condo tower. “Amongst its many functions, including a creative think-tank and large-scale public art installations, the Faena Collaboratory will also serve as an innovative sales environment for Faena House.” We’ve got a think tank here, people. A think tank. It’s the Cato Institute with an architect’s drafting board. The sales center is meant to feature all of the design ‘collaborators’ on the Faena project. Anywho, the new 18 story building will have 47 one-to-five bedroom units, all with fabulously huge wrap around balconies called ‘aleros’ and a two-level penthouse with its own rooftop infinity pool and private internal elevator. Prices range from $2.5 million, to $50 million, meaning that penthouse is selling for a whopping $50 million.
