Fresh off the e-press, Miami trumps as Americas top city for buying vs. renting (tying with Las Vegas) according to real estate website Trulia.com. With the previous ranking of 5th in the nation just last month, turn up the A/C because theMiami real estate mercury is rising.
According to Miami Agent Magazine, the study was based upon “affordability, with a rent-buy ratio of six to 10 equaling buying vs. renting as the more practical option.” Miami, the solar flare of the Sunshine State, scored a six and also boasts a low foreclosure rate of 0.38 percent, and a job growth rate of 1.7 percent.

The siren calls of Miami’s luxury properties reach not only the national market, but the international as well. The Wall Street Journal recently reported Malaysia’s Genting Malaysia Berhad acquired the Miami Heralds Biscayne Bay waterfront property consisting of 14 acres stating, “the company plans to build a complex with restaurants, entertainment venues and, if the Florida legislature authorizes it, casino gambling.” It appears Miami is holding a nice hand of cards.
