Miami Beach Moving Forward On Zaha’s Collins Park Garage

 Construction firms clamored to submit their bids to Miami Beach commissioners for a contract, nay, the privilege to build starchitect Zaha Hadid’s Collins Park Garage last week ahead of a February 5th deadline, according to exMiami. The airy design of subtle curves that hide the offending rows of vehicles with the adjoining plaza that evokes sand dunes was first announced at Art Basel Miami Beach in 2011, and has been substantially refined since. No updates on when construction might actually begin, but it could be soon-ish.
