Curbed Miami

1101 Brickell, which at 849 feet tall will be Miami’s tallest building when finally finished, has been named Panorama Tower according to exMiami. Back in June, in an interview with Miami Today developer Tibor Hollo disclosed the building had come back from the dead and construction would begin before the end of the year. The building had crashed and burned, metaphorically speaking, in the Great Recession. Then, last month Hollo told Daily Business Review in another interview about something else that site work had begun on the tower.

Either 80 or 74 stories (we’ve seen conflicting reports), it’s entirely residential, and designed by Kobi Karp. Hollo has claimed erroneously that it will be the tallest building south of the Empire State Building, although the much taller One World Trade Center is in the way. The site is currently a rather verdant green lawn with some large trees that backs up on one of Mr. Hollo’s office buildings on Brickell Avenue.
