South Beach Wins Against the Venetian Islands
Neighborhood and real estate news website Curbed Miami recently kicked off its annual Curbed Cup competition, a tournament of some of Miami’s best neighborhoods where readers can vote for their favorite neighborhood. The winner will eventually face off against another neighborhood in a final match on Wednesday to be named Curbed’s “South Florida neighborhood of the year”.
Last week, South Beach was up against the Venetian Islands, eventually winning the match. South Beach was noted for being one of the most versatile places for living, dining, and entertainment options despite the traffic woes and the recent profusion in luxury developments. Some of these include the Faena House condominium the 1 Hotel, and more. Other qualities included the weekly Soundscape Cinema that takes place on Washington and 17th Avenue and the Huahua’s taco restaurant on Lincoln Road.
The Venetian Islands were noted for their stunning homes for sale and the relaxing drive. However, that drive is temporarily unavailable due to the closure of the Venetian Causeway which is currently on a nine-month hiatus while it undergoes construction and repair.
South Beach will now be competing against the neighborhood of Sunset Harbour and the various Miami neighborhoods like the Downtown area, the Design District, and Wynwood.
