While projects such as Icon Brickell have relied heavily upon foreign buyers, as more than 70 percent of sales have come from abroad, the revival of the mega-complex is a true testament to the area and the Miami real estate market in general. In Miami-Dade County, condo sales went up 94 percent this past April according to the Miami Herald. Much of those sales are due to heavy price slashing, but with the growing attraction to downtown Miami, prices are starting to rise again as the units become increasingly desired.
