Another week in the South Florida real estate world yielded a batch of fresh project renderings. This week The Real Deal looks at the unveiling of designs for two Miami museums, a Sunny Isles condo and Miami Beach retail space.
Rendering of ICA Miami
1. Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, Miami Design District | Scheduled opening: 2016
Funded by auto mogul Norman Braman, ICA Miami was born after the board of North Miami’s MOCA ended their association with the museum. Designed by Madrid-based Aranguren & Gallegos Arquitectos, the 37,000-square-foot building located in the Design District will feature a 15,000-square foot sculpture garden.
Rendering of 723 Lincoln Lane in Miami Beach
2. Lincoln Lane, Miami Beach | Scheduled groundbreaking: 2015
Terranova Corp. is working on several of its properties in Miami’s Lincoln Road area. One of them is 723 Lincoln Lane, a three-story, 45,000-square-foot building that will have room for retail shops on the ground level and an anchor store on the second and third floors.
Rendering of the Latin American Art Museum
3. Latin American Art Museum, Miami | Scheduled opening: 2016
Wynwood art gallery owner Gary Nader revealed his plans for the $50 million museum, designed by Fernando Romero Enterprise. The 90,000-square-foot museum will feature permanent and rotating exhibits, space for emerging artists and a top floor restaurant.
Rendering of Cornfeld West
4. Cornfeld West, Sunny Isles Beach | Scheduled opening: unknown
Kobi Karp designed this 26-story building that will feature a 150-room hotel and 122 condo units. The project is being revised as the current designs exceed height restrictions, according to The Next Miami.
